OUR TERMS

The fine print behind a hands-on promise

These terms cover how we operate street-level care and resource distribution in Portland. They keep things clear, fair, and focused on the people we serve.

The feel of a real conversation

STREET-LEVEL IMPACT

Numbers don't tell the whole story — but they help

We're a new organization, so we're building trust the slow way: one conversation, one pair of dry socks, one neighbor at a time.

0

Overhead dollars

Every donation goes into supplies. That's our starting promise.

1

Community hub

Portland where information and compassion meet.

100%

Volunteer-sourced

Just neighbors helping neighbors, hands-on.

24/7

Open door ethic

If we're awake and someone needs help, we answer the call.

REAL STORIES

Does street-level outreach actually make a difference?

Here's what people say when someone shows up with warm hands, dry socks, and no judgment. These are people we've met on Portland streets and at our community hub.

I was sitting near the Hawthorne Bridge, and this person just sat down next to me. Didn't ask for anything. Just handed me a granola bar and asked my name. That was the first time in weeks someone looked at me like a person.

It was raining sideways. I'd been sleeping under the overpass for three nights. They found me there, gave me a dry blanket and a pair of boots that actually fit. I'll never forget that.

I came to the hub looking for a bus ticket to get to a job interview. They didn't just give me the ticket — they helped me figure out the route, gave me a clean shirt, and wished me luck. I got the job.

I was scared to ask for help. Thought people would judge me. But the folks at FLESHANDBONEVEINSWITHPAIN OUTREACH didn't ask how I got there. They just wanted to know what I needed right then.

I volunteer with them now. The first time I went out, we met a guy who had been on the street for three years. We gave him socks and a sandwich. He cried. So did I.
