See the person on the street
FLESHANDBONEVEINSWITHPAIN OUTREACH started with one idea: show up, see the hurt, and offer real help. We've been doing that in Portland ever since.
What made someone start this kind of work?
It came from watching too many people on Portland's streets get ignored. One person decided that wasn't okay anymore. So FLESHANDBONEVEINSWITHPAIN OUTREACH exists to hand out care, not just look away.
The faces you'll see on the street
We're a small team of Portland neighbors who believe a warm face and a steady hand can change someone's whole day.

What volunteers say about our street-level work
The people who walk Portland's streets with us tell it best. Here's why they keep coming back to the outreach.
I was nervous my first time out. But the team showed me how to just be present. Now I look forward to every Friday shift. You see the same faces, hear the same stories. That's where the real connection happens.

Volunteer since March 2026
What gets me is how small things matter. A dry pair of socks, a granola bar, someone just saying your name. This isn't charity. It's showing up like a neighbor would.

I brought my teenage daughter once. She was quiet the whole car ride home. Then she said, 'Mom, those people just need someone to see them.' That's what FLESH AN BONE VEINS WITH PAIN OUTREACH does. We see them.
